Mohammed joined Portsmouth Hospital as a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2014. He is highly qualified as both a doctor and a dentist. After qualifying in dentistry in 1994, he became a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998. He then went on to obtain his Medical Degree from Southampton University followed by his Board Intercollegiate Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Mohammed is based at QA Hospital in Portsmouth. He has an extensive Hospital Consultant practice, has numerous research publications in peer-reviewed journals and is heavily involved in undergraduate medical and dental training. He lectures widely both here and abroad.

At the London Dental Academy, Mohammed’s role includes the surgical phase of dental implant treatment as well as preparing the jaws to receive implants (with bone grafting and sinus lifting). Other aspects of Oral Surgery include the surgical removal of difficult teeth, including wisdom teeth and buried roots. He is also pleased to see patients with other oral lesions or concerns over facial lesions such as moles. He is a BUPA Registered Consultant, recognized by most insurance companies.

Mohammed recognizes that patients are often very anxious about surgical dental treatment and can offer intravenous sedation, if necessary, with the help of his Consultant Anaesthetic colleagues.
